The Field Research Unit of the Jilez Security District launched a security campaign on Friday evening targeting unofficial ("fake") car parkers across various main streets in the Red City.
This campaign comes in response to complaints received by security services from numerous citizens, in which they reported being subjected to extortion and paying significant sums of money to park their cars on public streets — a situation that sometimes leads to altercations often ending in emergency room visits.
The security operation resulted in the arrest of fourteen unofficial parkers who possess no official documentation. It was found that the majority were intoxicated and were also caught red-handed in possession of narcotics. The detainees were taken to the police station for further investigation and placed under police custody, pending their referral to the competent public prosecutor's office.
